Our 2-night, 3-day Sarajevo tour departing from İzmir and Istanbul is designed for you to discover one of the most impressive cities in the Balkans in a history and flavor-rich atmosphere. With its narrow streets adorned with Ottoman traces, delicious Bosnian cuisine, bridges overlooking river views, and poignant yet instructive stops bearing the marks of war, this tour awaits you. On the first day, after arriving in Sarajevo via a direct flight from İzmir or Istanbul, we check into our hotel and, after a short rest, head to the city center. Accompanied by your guide, you will closely feel the intertwining fabric of this multicultural city, known as “Jerusalem of Europe,” where Ottoman, Austro-Hungarian, and modern Bosnian influences coexist. With its historical bazaar, mosques, churches, and bridges, Sarajevo tells a different story at every corner. - Baščaršija - Sebil Square - Gazi Husrev Bey Mosque - Ferhadija Street - Latin Bridge In your free time in the evening, you can embark on a discovery of your own by tasting Boşnak börek cooked under a sac, cevapi (grilled minced meat) prepared over charcoal, and local desserts. Guests may also enjoy their coffee in riverside cafes to unwind from the day's fatigue. On the second day, we embark on a full-day tour where you will experience Bosnia's sorrowful recent history and breathtaking nature. At the Tunnel, the only door opening to the world during the siege years of the war, you will hear stories of those who witnessed the events and see the traces of that period with your own eyes. Then, we head towards a fascinating atmosphere where the waterfall meets the greenery. - Sarajevo War Tunnel (Tunnel of Hope) - Vrelo Bosne (the spring of the Bosna River) - Sarajevo Library (Vijecnica) exterior panoramic view In the evening, upon returning to the city, guests have the option to participate in a Bosnian night organized by our guide, where they can enjoy folklore performances and local music; they can also savor traditional flavors. On the third day, you can spend your free time on last-minute shopping for souvenirs, copper handicrafts, handmade products, and local delicacies. For those interested, photo opportunities in the narrow streets and a chance to feel the Sarajevo atmosphere one last time accompanied by coffee and sweets are available. Depending on the flight time, we transfer to the airport for our farewell, returning to Turkey with memories that will inspire your next Balkan adventure after this three-day intense yet enjoyable program.

The tour fee generally includes round-trip flight tickets from Izmir–Istanbul–Sarajevo, 2-night hotel accommodation (depending on the selected category), airport–hotel transfers, and a panoramic city tour; extra tours and personal expenses are not included: This tour fee covers your round-trip flight tickets from Izmir to Sarajevo via Istanbul, 2 nights of accommodation in your chosen hotel category, airport–hotel–airport transfers, and a brief city introduction tour. However, extra excursions such as Mostar–Blagaj, lunches/dinners, museum entrances, personal expenses, shopping, and potential tips are not included in the tour price and are the responsibility of the traveler. It is essential to check the applicable passport and visa requirements for Sarajevo in advance; the current visa practices and passport validity period for Turkish citizens must be confirmed before the tour date: Before traveling, it is crucial to verify whether your passport's validity period is sufficient and to check Bosnia and Herzegovina's current visa policies to avoid any potential issues at the border. Particularly, the passport validity period (generally at least 6 months remaining is expected), possible visa requirements, and additional documents for those traveling with children should be verified in advance with your agency or official consulate sources. The 2-night, 3-day program usually consists of arrival and city introduction on the first day, free time or extra tours (Mostar–Blagaj, historical bazaar, tunnel museum, etc.) on the second day, and free time and return transfer on the last day: The first day typically includes arrival in Sarajevo, hotel check-in, and a panoramic city introduction tour to get an overview of the city. On the second day, you can either take free time to explore the city on your own or join extra tours organized by the agency, such as Mostar–Blagaj, historical Baščaršija tour, or Tunnel Museum; the last day consists of final shopping and free time before the transfer to the airport for departure. Tour departure times begin with the domestic flight from Izmir to Istanbul; timely compliance with check-in and baggage procedures for domestic and subsequent international flights from Istanbul to Sarajevo is necessary, and flight times may vary due to the airline: The first step of your tour is the domestic flight from Izmir to Istanbul, so it is essential to arrive at the airport on time to successfully complete check-in, baggage drop, and security checks. After the layover in Istanbul, for the international flight to Sarajevo, you should similarly account for the times, considering possible changes or delays from the airline, and regularly check your ticket and flight information both before and during the tour. When participating in the tour, it is advisable to bring season-appropriate clothing, comfortable shoes for walking, personal medications, a copy of your travel insurance policy, and photocopies of important documents: Because Sarajevo's climate varies by season, especially during spring and autumn, layering your clothing, having a raincoat or umbrella, and warm clothing is beneficial; comfortable shoes are essential as the city and its surroundings require a lot of walking. Additionally, taking your regular medications along with their prescriptions, along with a copy of your travel health/cancellation insurance policy, and keeping photocopies of important documents such as your passport, ID, and flight ticket in a separate place will help keep you safe in case of loss or emergencies. The hotels mentioned in the program may be substituted with equivalent hotels; breakfast/meal arrangements, extra tour fees, use of local currency, and credit card acceptance details should be clarified with the agency before traveling: Hotels listed in the tour program may be changed to other hotels of the same standard due to occupancy or operational reasons; therefore, it is beneficial to request written confirmation of the exact hotel details and whether meals other than breakfast are included in the program before the tour. Moreover, clarifying the current prices of extra tours, the currency used in Bosnia and Herzegovina (Convertible Mark), whether Euro is accepted, and where credit cards are valid will help you plan your budget and avoid surprises while traveling.
